A busy day.
Justin spent the first half putting the first coat of bright white on the walls of our soon to be office.
And spending time with the Munchkin.
I've always loved Justin totally and completely. But when I watch him play with Evie my heart bursts. She loves nothing more than climbing into his lap and patting his cheeks. Guess I know where the song comes from...
Justin headed off to work. We left to run errands. Which meant most of the day was spent like in just such a pose:
We got the call from Justin saying he was free and headed over to Grammy and Papa's home to pick the Christmas decorations. (Yep. I have so many decorations they don't fit in my house. Must be stored off site. This also helps keep the glitter manageable.)
Grammy's home is one of Genevieve's favorite places. Mostly because she can do as she pleases; but also because Grammy keeps stuff out for her to play with. For Christmas she brought out eight to ten toys that move and sing when a button is pushed.
Singing?
Dancing?
Toys?
Evie was in heaven. It was all I could do to keep up. She insisted on at least two going at a time.
She screamed when we left.
We headed over to see Grammy and Papa at the rehabilitation center hosting Papa for the time being.
It is hard for us to see Papa so down and out. He's such a strong man. It's all smiles thought when Evie comes to visit. Genevieve LOVES her peeps.
The day had a perfect ending with Pho. We can tell how hungry we are by the photo at the END of the meal. The girl loves her noddles.
She also enjoys scaring her mother while simultaneously protecting her from scary strangers with a pretty wicked glare.
I am so glad you are blogging again!!
My in-law's have those same dancing, blinking toys. My kids love them too!! Evie with her grandparents is so adorable!
I am still trying to like Pho. Chris LOVES it, but it is still growing on me.
