It was a full day.
We sent Justin off to work (after he helped clean the house, of course) then naps all round. Followed by painting finger nails sparkly gold... The Munch sat so still while I was doing hers. (Although I embrace my femininity, I secretly want to be a tom-boy... and it's looking as though living vicariously through my daughter isn't going to work. I think I may have created a girl full of pearls and glitter.)
Genevieve also adores the outside... we spent almost 30 minutes just talking about what was out the window. We have deep conversations. Mostly about 'dat'. (Genevieve's first words: "Watz dat?"- What's That?- Followed with a little finger stabbing the air at the chosen object.) I love understanding even a bit of her endless jabbering.
Oh those little lips.
We headed out to do a few errands and ended up spending the whole afternoon with the girls at Chateau Salon & Boutique. Changing up the display a bit and talking. Mostly talking.
A first haircut has been needed for a bit, so when Rebbecca arrived to work I begged. Being a nanny and hair dresser made her perfect. She knew when to ignore the crying and when to put down the scissors and find a treat. It did start with tears...
We gave up on the cape. Soon it was just uncertainty.
To help relax we gave Evie a comb. She knew what to do with it... all girl. Once she finished fixing her hair Rebecca got back to business.
They were friends by the end. And Evie is all trimmed up... in LOVE.
Mommy also got a new do.
Evie we able to spend the rest of the evening with my mom while Justin and I headed up to a charity art auction. (No pictures... My first semi-formal event since high school. I was just as nervous.) The hostess of the evening made my night by dropping her jaw and telling me way to many times how pretty I looked. That's what friends are for.

The auction is for a great charity... CharityVision. They've been around for about 20 years as Deseret International, but had a resent name change. I got the opportunity to work on possible logos.
This option made it to the top two.
It didn't get picked in the end, BUT I was up against the WHOLE senior design team at 3Form. Not bad company. (Seriously can't believe I made it that far.)
If you are looking for a worthy cause this holiday season please check out CharityVision. They are an amazing organization that supports local doctors doing charity work. Because they aren't paying for travel of any doctors they can do most procedures for $25. So little to directly affect people. I hope to say very involved... Craig? You there? Knock. Knock.
