the gauntlet thrown down... our backs to the wall. he had us staring at each other like a deer in the headlights.

it went down late christmas eve. we just wanted to read luke 2 and go home to start the wrapping marathon (a nichole tradition)... but IT stopped us in our tracks.

I don't want to become a walking talking ad.. but I am really having a great time working at American Crafts. We are now to the creating samples and stuff part of the job. i know... they are crazy to pay me- don't tell them, but i would do this for free.

now i am blogging about sales?!?

yep, it's true... i am finally going to tell the world (or the two people who read my blog) where i work.

(cue the horns and let go of the balloons....) 

 yes. two birds with one stone... announcing my really cool job and their really cool sale.

really, it's cool.

i was worried that if i announced the obtaining of my dream job it would some how... you know... POOF! gone.

but i think i have fooled them sufficiently that they will keep me around designing cool stickers and thickers and ribbon and paper and giftbags and wrapping paper... and then play with it all!  like i said... it's really cool. really.

the job title is in-house scrapbooker. i have yet to do a lot of scrapping, more designing. they tell me that the scrapping comes in a month or two. and it gets crazy. but for now i love coming to work and go home inspired to continue creating. (not that i actually do create... the season has taken control of my life. but that is calming down- read previous post.)

anywho,

as i am the lesser of the talents on this amazing design team i would like to take this opportunity to thank "the man" for sucking me in and finding a grown-up job i cam enjoy. (seriously, they pay me to make stuff. seriously. i don't get it either. but shhhh... don't tell anyone.)

oh and come to the sale- most things will be 70% off retail, which is more than my discount... give me a ring if you do stop by!  i think my cell is somewhere around here.... maybe.

I know i have been gone a while...

i got caught up in the rush, the deals, the stress. No More. this use to be my favorite time of year... and it can be again.

this year i choose to spend my time instead of my money. this year i choose to enjoy and play instead of stress.

so no gifts outside of family... but if you know me, know a donation was made as YOUR Christmas Present.
